FUSION FM 87.7 - HEYWOOD

Fusion FM 87.7 is a chance for you to listen to the views, opinions, culture and ideas of the Youth of Heywood & Castleton, enjoy a wide range of music and talent and be informed of what’s happening for young people sin the town. Since December 2007 over 50 young people from Heywood and the surrounding areas have gained skills and nationally recognised accreditations in Radio Broadcasting, Presenting and Production as part of the Fusion Radio Project – Middleton. These young people will now take over the Heywood and Castleton airwaves for 5 days.

TRAINING
Fusion Radio offers a wide range of training opportunities. By getting involved in the project you can choose to learn some, or all of the following:

- Radio Presentation and communication skills
- Practical DJ Skills
- Interview skills and techniques
- Journalism
- Managing a Radio Broadcast
- Culture & Diversity in the Media
- Health & Safety in the Media

All of our courses aim to be fun, practical and informative, and are delivered in a relaxed way by friendly tutors.
Many of the courses and workshops provided are accredited and nationally recognised at levels 1, 2 and 3, which will help you to progress into further training or employment.
